Jose Mourinho sends message to Arsenal and Man United fans about Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Jose Mourinho has insisted that he has “no regrets” about the way Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s short Manchester United career panned out.
The Armenia international signed a long-term contract with the Red Devils’ Premier League rivals Arsenal on Monday last week after joining the Gunners as part of the same deal which saw Alexis Sanchez head to Old Trafford.
Mkhitaryan had struggled to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Old Trafford under Mourinho this season despite having made a strong start to the new campaign.
The 29-year-old was one of Mourinho’s first signings at Manchester United following the Portuguese coach’s appointment in the summer of 2016.
However, he failed to produce consistent form at Old Trafford following his switch from Borussia Dortmund.
Mkhitaryan will now try to rediscover his best form under Arsene Wenger at Arsenal, but Mourinho insists that he is not upset at how the playmaker’s career panned out at Old Trafford.
Speaking at a news conference at Carrington on Thursday afternoon, Mourinho said: “Could he have performed better for us? Could I take more from his talent? Maybe.
“Could he also have given more to try to adapt to us? Maybe. But I don’t think regrets.
“In our history, he did important things for us, so a good feeling for everybody and a very specific transfer between two rivals in the same country is something that should happen more.”
Mkhitaryan could be in line to make his Arsenal debut when the Gunners travel to Swansea City in the Premier League on Tuesday night next week.
The Gunners booked their place in the League Cup final by beating Chelsea last week.
